Lord of the Rings (2001-03)- Lots of breakthroughs in special effects were had in this trilogy.. such as the Gollum suit and actually making his features resemble those of Andy Serkis... not to mention the walking trees and an entire world getting overrun with creatures and destruction...
Ironman (2008)- People in suits and technology that isn't (yet)... very nice
The Dark Knight (2008)- Twoface was awesome... and there were also the batman/mobile/bike stuff and the semi turning over...
